It
is a great honour for the Asociación Dominicana de Alzheimer (ADA)
to have been selected as the destination of the 19th International
Conference of Alzheimer's Disease International.
This conference has been relocated from Caracas, Venezuela. Together
with the unconditional support of the Fundación Alzheimer de
Venezuela, the original conference host, and all the Alzheimer's
associations in Latin America and the Caribbean we are positive that
we can meet this challenge.
The conference theme: "Discovering Dementia" will encourage
participants to meet in the new world and 'discover' the latest
scientific advances and ways to improve the quality of life for
people with dementia and their carers.
We will endeavour to make this conference a truly international
gathering where people with dementia and their families,
researchers, health professionals, care providers and staff and
volunteers of Alzheimer associations from around the globe can share
and learn together.
We welcome you to the Dominican Republic to attend this conference,
a country characterised by human warmth and breathtaking natural beauty!
